This tree is nestled deep in the forest along Huckleberry Trail, near the headwaters of our seasonal creek. It's very private and quiet in this part of the forest; the tree is accessed by foot only and is a 10-15 minute walk from the Visitors Center.
Highland Ridge features the highest elevation on our property, where sunlight beckons and rhododendrons bloom. This area boasts winding trails that guide you deep into the forest toward the headwaters of our seasonal creek. Distinctive stump features inspire imagination and wonder, showcasing nature's artwork. Moss is prevalent on tanoaks, mother stumps and nurse logs, glowing green and bright. Birds convene here in the sunlight, perched in the canopy, delighting passerby with their melodies.
